Illegal instruction (core dumped) – Docker container

Published

I’m getting this error right before one of my containers crash. This is the first time
I’m dealing with this error so I’m not sure how to approach debugging it. From searching out I’ve gathered that old or obsolete CPU is usually the problem.

This theory is backed up by the fact that the container isn’t crashing on EC2. I bet Amazon isn’t using servers with obsolete CPU and my desktop computer is indeed rather old dual-core. I’m testing it locally because I seem to have networking issue in my app that I’m trying to debug locally.

What can I do ?
