MCDEV is not recognized as an internal or external command – Windows

In Microclimate after running install.ps1 and getting the message in the end:

Microclimate CLI installed. Run 'mcdev help' for usage instructions

But after opening a new shell or in the same one calling mcdev outputs:

mcdev : The term 'mcdev' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check
the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

Suggestion [3,General]: The command mcdev was not found, but does exist in the current location. Windows PowerShell does not load commands from the current location by default. If you trust this command, instead type: ".mcdev". See "get-help about_Command_Precedence" for more details.

Running with .mcdev also does not seem to work.
