I plan to use Windows APIs such as ‘FindFirstChangeNotificationA’ and
ReadDirectoryChangesW to receive notifications for
file system changes (related to ADD, MODIFY, DELETE).
However, I am not certain that an application which does this, will function well onside a docker container working on mounted volumes.
The changes to the file system are expected to happen outside the docker container, i.e., an external application / service is expected to modify the file system, and the changes are expected to be notified to the
fs watcher inside the container.
Do fs related directory / file changes from outside the container propagate to the container host OS which has mounted the same directory?
This is for Docker on Windows, with windows containers running.
